SEREMBAN, Aug 27 (Bernama) -- The Pulau Burung Walkway and Watch Tower at Batu 5, Jalan Pantai, Port Dickson, has been closed indefinitely due to structural damage.

The Port Dickson Municipal Council (MPPD) announced the immediate closure after assessing damage to the bridge leading to the island.

“The closure is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice. Visitors are advised to comply with this directive for their safety.

“The council will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries resulting from failure to adhere to this notice,” said the council in a notice today.

The Pulau Burung Walkway, located on Pantai Cahaya Negeri, is the only footpath leading to Pulau Burung, spanning 180 metres from the mainland.

The island also features a three-storey observation tower, offering visitors panoramic views of the Port Dickson coastline.
