FAMA: 'Happy Hour' Sale Of Merdeka MADANI Combo Set At RM6.70

KANGAR, Aug 31 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Merdeka combo set happy hour sales, organised by the Perlis Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), and held at the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council’s (MAIPs) Dataran ABC Farmers' Market, today, offered prices as low as RM6.70 per set.

Perlis FAMA director Mohd Anzara Azizan said that the combo set included four essential items: one kilogramme of white sugar, one kilogramme of cooking oil, 400 grams of vermicelli, and 400 grams of onions and garlic. This set, normally priced at RM12, was available at a discounted rate of RM6.70 for this special sale.

“We are holding this special sale in celebration of the 67th National Day, which is why the MADANI combo set is offered at RM6.70,” Mohd Anzara told reporters, after the opening ceremony of the sale, officiated by Kangar Municipal Council (MPK) president Affendi Rajini Kanth.

He also noted that the MADANI Merdeka combo set was available for purchase without any limit during the happy hour, which ran from 8 am to 12 noon.

Additionally, Mohd Anzara said that the Agro MADANI Sales in Perlis had recorded a sales value of RM2,515,841, with 190 sales events organised, as of today.

“Alhamdulillah, the Agro MADANI Sales today saw the participation of 1,559 entrepreneurs, benefiting 60,610 consumers across Perlis, and resulting in total savings of RM678,967.34,” he said.

Visitor, Hanani Ismail, 35, expressed her excitement over the RM6.70 price for the MADANI Merdeka combo set, noting that it would be a delight for consumers during the National Day celebrations.

“Alhamdulillah, I can get sugar, cooking oil, vermicelli, and onions for just RM6.70. Normally, this would cost over RM10 in regular stores. I always look forward to sales organised by Perlis FAMA,” she said.
