KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- Bernama Bikers Club (BBC) today kicked off its three-day Kembara Kasih Hari Kebangsaan@Bernama programme to foster a spirit of patriotism among its members in conjunction with this year’s National Day celebrations.

Club secretary Zarin Noordin said under the inaugural programme, 14 BBC members would travel 162 kilometres to Sekolah Menengah (SMK) Seri Manjung in Perak.

“This programme will involve activities with school students focusing on education about social media, especially media literacy. Additionally, we will share information about the role of Bernama (Malaysian National News Agency) with students,” he said after the flag-off.

Bernama deputy editor-in-chief (News Service) Nasriah Darus and Management Services and Finance head Sharifah Zaini Syed Zain flagged off the participants at Wisma Bernama.

Zarin said BBC was officially launched in August 2021 and had been actively hosting tours, adding that so far, they have travelled to 10 locations in Peninsular Malaysia.

“This touring activity is not only to relax and spend leisure time, but it also helps to strengthen friendship among club members who come from various units and departments in Bernama,” he added.
