LYON, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- A more challenging module and a surprise task are among the challenges awaiting the 15 Malaysian youths on the third day of the WorldSkills (WSC 2024) competition at Eurexpo here.
The highly skilled Malaysian youths, who are competing in 14 categories at the WSC 2024, were seen carefully completing their tasks during today's competition.
Malaysia is competing in 14 categories, including Robotic System Integration, IT Software Solutions for Business, Heavy Vehicle Technology and Digital Construction.
The strategies and knowledge gained from their respective Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) enabled them to complete their tasks properly.
Hundreds of visitors, including experts, youth and students, attended the WSC 2024 to see the contestants compete in 62 skill categories.
The WSC 2024, held from Sept 10 to 15, brings together 1,400 competitors from over 70 countries and regions to compete in 62 skill categories.
Malaysia has set a target of winning at least three medals at WSC2024.
Previously, the media reported that the government is providing a special cash incentive of RM40,000 to participants who win gold medals at the WSC in Lyon this month.
The special incentive is a sign of support, encouragement and motivation to pursue success at the WSC 2024.
