Lai Po Heen Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Original Menu

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Marking 25 years of culinary excellence, Lai Po Heen is thrilled to announce an exclusive celebration, offering a nostalgic journey back to 1999.

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, in a statement, said diners are invited to experience the same menu that was served when the restaurant first opened its doors, from Oct 8 to Dec 8. 

“This promotion pays tribute to the rich history and to vast number of guests who have frequented Lai Po Heen in the past 25 years. Lai Po Heen is renowned for its authentic Cantonese flavours and exceptional quality,” it said.

Featured items will include signature dim sum favourites such as Steamed Lobster Dumplings with Fish Roe and Gold Leaf, Deep-fried Crispy Chicken Spring Roll with Foie Gras, Deep-fried Australia Wagyu Beef Puff Pastry, Steamed Grouper Fish Dumplings with Ginger Onion Sauce and many more.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to savour the beloved flavours of the past, enjoying an experience that evokes the essence of the restaurant’s early years.

It added that the promotion serves as a celebration of the restaurant’s journey, inviting both long-time patrons and new visitors to immerse themselves in the history and evolution of the beloved dining destination.

For eight weeks, diners can relish the same pricing from 1999, which offers unbeatable value, while enjoying Lai Po Heen’s iconic culinary creations.

Meanwhile, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur general manager Martin Schnider said the promotion is a way of honouring loyal patrons who have supported Lai Po Heen since 1999 while serving as a way to invite new guests to experience the flavours that defined its beginnings.

“We are exceptionally proud to celebrate 25 years of serving authentic Cantonese cuisine to the vibrant community of Kuala Lumpur,” he said.

Lai Po Heen will also be introducing an all-new ala carte menu featuring culinary creations such as Superior Fish Bone Soup with Prawn, Scallops, Enpiko and Spinach in Young Coconut, Braised Free-Range Chicken with Black Truffle and Wok-Fried Marinated Lamb Chop with Diced Chillies and Garlic Chips available for lunch and dinner.
