Tuanku Muhriz Issues Decree To Protect Welfare Of GISBH-linked Children

SEREMBAN, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir has decreed that the welfare of children associated with GISB Holding Sdn Bhd (GISBH) in the state be safeguarded, including ensuring they receive proper mainstream education.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said Tuanku Muhriz issued the royal directive during the ‘Dewan Keadilan dan Undang Negeri Sembilan’ session, which convened at Istana Seri Menanti, here, this morning.

He said Tuanku Muhriz also proposed that the state’s Social Welfare Department (JKM) pay special attention to children aged between four and 15 years who have not been claimed by their parents.

“These children need to be given special attention so they can receive mainstream education and reintegrate into society.

“Attention must also be given to children who have been reunited with their parents. They should be continuously monitored to ensure they receive a proper education. We cannot just allow them to stay at home without care,” he said to reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony of the Negeri Sembilan Semiconductor Valley (NSSV) here, today.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin said no new fatwa has been issued in the state so far concerning GISBH’s teachings and beliefs.

“There is no new fatwa, however, Negeri Sembilan’s Mufti, Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Faudzinaim Badarudin said the group has indeed violated existing laws, regulations, and legal bills, similar to Al-Arqam, which was declared deviant in 2016,” he added.
