Perak Receives RM1.06 Million Allocation For Komuniti MADANI Programme

IPOH, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- Perak has received an allocation of RM1.06 million for the implementation of this year’s Komuniti MADANI programme.

State Communications, Multimedia and Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi said the allocation provided by the Ministry of Communications was for 177 Komuniti MADANI across 59 state constituencies.

“The allocation includes an administrative grant of RM3,000 for each community, with RM2,000 allocated for the Jiwa Komuniti MADANI Programme and RM1,000 set aside for the parliamentary-level Jiwa Komuniti MADANI Programme.

“It is understood that, as of 9 Oct 2024, 96 per cent of the programme has been implemented,” he said during the state-level Jalinan Mesra Komuniti MADANI Programme at Auditorium Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) here today.

According to Azlan, the MADANI Komuniti was formed as a voluntary body made up of people from various races, aimed at nurturing noble values and nationalism to support the Malaysia MADANI concept.

He said that the MADANI Komuniti was established nationwide to create a strategic network extending to the grassroots level.

“Komuniti MADANI serves as a vital platform for delivering the latest and authentic information regarding government policies and initiatives, ensuring it reaches the people continuously.

“It is also a crucial communication tool, not only for disseminating information to the community but also for gathering feedback from the grassroots level, particularly about development issues that need to be conveyed to the government,” he said.
