PUTRAJAYA, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- Four working papers were presented at the National Labour Advisory Council (NLAC) meeting today, chaired by Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad, according to the Ministry of Human Resources (Kesuma).
Kesuma said in a statement that the papers were on proposed amendments to the Code of Conduct for Industrial Harmony 1975, guidelines for implementing flexible work arrangements, recent amendments to the Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Industrial Relations Regulations, as well as recent amendments to the Trade Unions Act 1959 and Regulations 2024.
According to Kesuma, this second NLAC meeting of the year demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring tripartite collaboration among the government, employers and employees to continue consultations on various issues, particularly those related to policy, legislation and employment practices.
“This effort aims to address labour issues with the goal of improving employment conditions and practices and enhancing productivity,” Kesuma said.
Representatives from the government, employers and workers attended the meeting.
