IPOH, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- A total of RM450,000 has been allocated to upgrade the Rapat Setia MADANI Recreational Park on Jalan Jaafar Taha here.
The upgrading works, funded by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), will commence in the middle of this month and are expected to take approximately 16 weeks to complete.
Simpang Pulai assemblyman Wong Chai Yi said the 0.7-hectare park will feature facilities such as pedestrian walkways, a multipurpose court, a play plaza, exercise equipment, and others.
“The Rapat Setia field has been around for a long time, and most of the facilities are quite worn out and no longer usable. Additionally, it does not meet the needs of the local residents, causing them to go elsewhere for recreation or exercise,” she told reporters after inspecting the park today.
Also present was Gopeng MP Tan Kar Hing.
