Malakoff Amazing Hunt 2024 Promotes Sustainable Living

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) have successfully hosted Malakoff Amazing Hunt (MAH) 2024 with the theme ‘Sustainable Living Challenge’ here last Saturday.

The event was flagged off by Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff and Covering Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib along with Chief Financial Officer of Malakoff Corporation Berhad Mohd Nazersham Mansor and Head of Group Communications and Branding Puan Suriati Mohammad Mokhtar at Plaza Sentral, here.

According to Anwar Syahrin, the significance of the event is in promoting sustainable development and fostering community engagement.

“This program is basically to tell the population about our business…the idea is that we are working towards zero carbon and that’s why we call it Amazing Hunt, unlike the normal way of doing treasure hunt where you use vehicles that emit a lot of carbon, this time we use public transport and walk around to do more to the environment,” he said.

Sixteen teams with 64 participants involved in this amazing race.

Participants of MAH 2024 have to complete various activities designed to promote sustainable living such as making toy cars using boxes, bottle caps and wooden sticks, turning old t-shirts into handbags and answering several questions based on sustainable living and clean energy.

MAH 2024 brought together Malakoff stakeholders, Public-Private Partnership Unit (Ukas), Suruhanjaya Tenaga, The Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (PETRA), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Pahang Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp), Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) including media practitioners and influencers. 

In the event, team from New Straits Times grabs top spot while Bernama immerged as runners-up.
