DPM Fadillah Conferred World Outstanding Muslim Leader Lifetime Achievement Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has been conferred the World Outstanding Muslim Leader Lifetime Achievement Award by the World Muslim Leadership Forum (WMLF) in recognition of his exemplary leadership and steadfast commitment to advancing sustainable development.

The award was presented by WMLF's chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Iqbal Rawther and KSI Strategic Institute for Asia-Pacific (KSI) president Tan Sri Michael Yeoh at Parliament building today as Fadillah was unable to receive it at the forum held in London on Nov 22.

The award also serves as a recognition of Fadillah's tireless efforts in fostering unity and progress across diverse sectors.

Mohamed Iqbal, in a statement today, said that Fadillah’s dedication to promoting sustainability, unity and leadership within the Islamic world is truly inspiring.

“His vision and efforts exemplify the ideals of the WMLF, and this award is a testament to his enduring impact in fostering development-driven solutions that benefit communities globally,” he said.

The 13th edition of WMLF, themed ‘Muslim Leadership in Challenging Times: Fostering Inclusivity and Sustainability’, brought together leaders, policymakers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and innovators from the Islamic world to explore strategies for leveraging development to advance sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Jointly organised by KSI, the forum emphasised critical areas such as gender equality, youth empowerment, climate change and peacebuilding in its discussions.
