USIM's Achievements In Various Fields Commendable - Tuanku Aishah Rohani

NILAI, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud, was proud of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia’s (USIM) achievements, that have elevated the university’s reputation across various fields.

Her Highness, who is the Chancellor of USIM, stated that these successes were the result of the hard work and dedication of the academic staff, administrative personnel and the students who remain committed to enhancing the university’s standing both nationally and internationally.

Among the initiatives carried out were the organising of the Malaysia Madani International Symposium 2024, which brought together Islamic leaders from various disciplines, as well as the Special Convocation for the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.

“The success of the symposium and the special convocation has strengthened USIM’s standing in the Islamic world.

“USIM’s rebranding efforts gained further significance when the Prime Minister announced that USIM would serve as an Arabic Language Training Centre for those intending to pursue their studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt,” Her Highness remarked during USIM’s 22nd convocation ceremony, held here today.

Also in attendance was the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, who witnessed the proclamation and declaration of his son, Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin Tuanku Muhriz as the new Pro-Chancellor.

Tuanku Aishah Rohani also graciously officiated the appointment of Bursa Malaysia Board chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, as USIM’s Pro-Chancellor.
