TH INTRODUCES DIGITAL TREATMENT RECORD BOOK FOR EASIER HAJJ PREPARATION

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Prospective pilgrims for the 1446H/2025M hajj season will no longer need to visit the nearest Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) branch to obtain a hajj pilgrim treatment record book (BRRJH).

TH group managing director and chief executive officer Syed Hamadah Syed Othman said that the BRRJH is now available in digital form, simplifying health check-ups, saving time and effort, and making health records more accessible while in the Holy Land.

He explained that last year, pilgrims who received an offer letter via the THiJARI application had to visit a branch to physically collect the BRRJH. However, this year, that requirement has been eliminated.

"The issuance of hajj offer letters to 31,600 prospective pilgrims for the 1446H/2025M season began in stages starting yesterday," he said in a statement today.

Syed Hamadah further explained that prospective pilgrims can now check and download their hajj offer letters directly through the THiJARI application or the website www.thijari.com.my.

"They can undergo a health check-up at any health facility with a medical officer registered with both TH and the Ministry of Health (MOH). For the check-up, they will need to bring their identity card and hajj offer letter (in soft or hard copy)," he said.

Syed Hamadah explained that after completing the health check-up, prospective pilgrims will receive notifications regarding their health status through SMS, email, and the THiJARI application. They can then proceed to accept the hajj offer via the THiJARI website.

He added that the information filled out by both the prospective pilgrims and medical officers is now processed through a system integrated with the MOH, ensuring that the full details of the pilgrim's health and vaccination status are captured.

"Now, prospective pilgrims no longer need to carry the physical BRRJH to the Holy Land. All health information and statuses are stored in one system, minimising the risk of losing the record book," he said.

Additionally, he mentioned that the Saudi Arabian government still requires pilgrims to be vaccinated against Meningococcal disease. Furthermore, individuals aged 65 and above, as well as individuals with comorbidities or weakened immune systems, must receive the Meningococcal, Influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines.

"Currently, prospective pilgrims are advised to receive the Meningococcal and Influenza vaccines after passing the health check-up. Notifications regarding the COVID-19 vaccine will be sent by TH or MOH at a later date," he said.

"This improvement process reflects TH's ongoing efforts to help prospective pilgrims save time, energy and simplify the preparation for the upcoming hajj season," he added.
