KUCHING, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- Former Sarawak Sports Council director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan has been appointed as the new Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) director.
UKAS in a statement, announced the appointment was effective from January 2.
Awang Putrayusrie takes over from Samuel Simon who was appointed senior press secretary to the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sarawak.
“A symbolic handover of duties between Awang Putrayusrie and Samuel was witnessed by the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Public Communications Unit) Datuk Abdullah Saidol on Thursday (Jan 2),” according to the statement.
