Ramanan Sponsors Opening Of i-Nuri Savings Account For 600 B40 Students

SUNGAI BULOH, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- A total of 600 students from B40 families in the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary constituency received sponsorships to open the Bank Rakyat i-Nuri Savings accounts from Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk R. Ramanan today.

Ramanan said his sponsorship aimed to give the students a platform to start saving for their future educational needs.

He sponsored RM20 for each student to open an account, just like what he did last year.

"Each student who received the contribution today will open the I-Nuri account. This is an educational product for the future of the children that was specially provided by Bank Rakyat,” he said after officiating the launch of the 'Jangkauan Komuniti MADANI: Kembali Ke Sekolah’ Programme here today.

At the launch, Ramanan, the Sungai Buloh Member of Parliament (MP), also contributed school supplies worth RM48,000, which included bags and stationery to 600 pupils from 19 schools around Sungai Buloh.

In his speech, Ramanan said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had placed the importance of education as the core of national development, in line with the principles of the MADANI society.

"The values in the MADANI Malaysia framework place the importance of education in producing individuals who are responsible and capable of contributing to the well-being of the community and national development,” he said.

He added that the initiative is not merely a financial aid but a symbol of love and support for those in need, proving the government's commitment to ensuring no student is left out of educational opportunities.
