KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Cheras LeisureMall celebrated its 30th anniversary at an event honouring 18 long-standing tenants who have been integral to its journey since opening in 1994.
In a statement today, Cheras LeisureMall highlighted the lineup of tenants recognised for their enduring presence, such as Popular, McDonald's, AsterSpring, Guardian Pharmacy, Baskin-Robbins, Poh Kong, Giordano, SoxWorld, Eu Yan Sang, Minit Cobbler, and Cheinhoong Florist.
Others on the list were Watson’s, Wah Chan, Ogawa, Bata, Esquire Kitchen, May Xin Skin Care Centre, and Besta.
“With a strong 96 percent occupancy rate, Cheras LeisureMall remains committed to providing a dynamic shopping experience that evolves with consumer needs,” said the management.
“With the addition of new tenants, we continue to bring fresh and exciting retail, dining, and lifestyle options to our visitors,” it added.
As part of its ongoing improvement efforts, the mall is implementing phased asset enhancements, including the expansion of alfresco areas on the ground floor and the modernisation of facilities to elevate the shopping experience.
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Cheras LeisureMall has launched "The Grand 30 Giveaway," a special shopper reward programme running from Feb 15 to April 20.
Customers who sign up for the mall’s loyalty app, PLAYCE, and spend a minimum of RM300 in up to two receipts on the same day at participating outlets stand a chance to win prizes worth over RM200,000.
The prizes include a Haval H6 HEV vehicle, travel vouchers, home appliances, and lifestyle gadgets. Winners will be revealed during the live Grand Draw on April 27 at 3 pm.
The event wrapped up with a vibrant lion dance performance and a festive yee sang tossing, creating an energetic and celebratory atmosphere among visitors.
