KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Industry leaders and stakeholders have convened at Sofitel KL Damansara for a pre-launch fireside chat of the third edition of Food and Drinks Malaysia by SIAL Network 2025.
The July 1-3 event will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre and brings leading food and beverages (F&B) brands, thought leaders, and innovators together to explore opportunities in one of the most dynamic markets in the world, SIAL said in a statement today.
The Salon International de l'Alimentation (SIAL) Network is a prominent brand under Comexposium, one of the world's leading event organisers.
Comexposium Sdn Bhd Exhibition director (South East Asia) Henri Tan said trade fairs are evolving to meet industry demands and support business growth.
"Trade fairs like FDM 2025 serve as powerful business enablers, offering industry players a platform to network, showcase innovations, and gain valuable insights into global trends," he added.
Deputy Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin graced the pre-launch gathering with representatives from the Malaysian Cocoa Board, the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
Founded in 1964, the SIAL Network is recognised as “The Global Food Marketplace”, dedicated to connecting and facilitating business within the international food community.
“The event, themed ‘Crafting Tomorrow’s F&B Landscape: The Role of Innovation and Global Trends in Inspiring Food Businesses’, will discuss key aspects of the evolving F&B sector,” SIAL said in a statement today.
Topics include the transformation of F&B trade fairs, driven by digitalisation, sustainability, and artificial intelligence analytics, which is making trade fairs more effective and inclusive.
Other topics include the significance of trade exhibitions in regional and global ecosystems and local producers' connection, and facilitating cross-border collaboration, it added.
Thousands of industry professionals from Southeast Asia, fostering valuable partnerships, breakthrough product discovery, and strategic market insights are expected to attend.
