LABUAN, March 7 (Bernama) -- The Labuan Media Practitioners Association has extended its congratulatory message to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, on being conferred the Seri Mahkota Wilayah (SMW) award today.
The honour, which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri,’ was bestowed upon Dr Zaliha by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at an investiture ceremony held at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with Federal Territories’ Day.
In a statement, the association lauded Dr Zaliha’s dedication and contributions towards the development of the three Federal Territories, namely Labuan, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya.
It also expressed confidence that her leadership would further strengthen policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of communities within these territories.
“This recognition is a testament to Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa’s unwavering commitment and exceptional service.
“We look forward to her continued efforts in advancing the interests of the Federal Territories,” the association said while reaffirming its commitment to working closely with the government to promote accurate and responsible journalism, ensuring that the voices and concerns of the people in Labuan and beyond are effectively represented.
