OPPO Malaysia Launches Two Ultra-durable Smartphones

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) -- OPPO Malaysia today launched the OPPO A5 Pro 5G and OPPO A5 Pro, two high-performance durable smartphones designed for outdoor activities, gaming and entertainment.

The latest models in the OPPO A series offer exceptional durability, featuring IP69/68/66 water and dust resistance certification and Military-Grade Shock Resistance, ensuring reliability in challenging conditions.

OPPO Malaysia Marketing Manager, Jonathan Lim, announced that the OPPO A5 Pro 5G is priced at RM1,099 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the OPPO A5 Pro is available for RM899 (8GB + 256GB). Both models will be available from March 15.

The OPPO A5 Pro 5G comes in Bloom Pink and Mocha Brown, whereas the OPPO A5 Pro will be available in Olive Green.

“These models can be purchased at OPPO brand stores, My OPPO Space, authorised OPPO dealers, and online platforms such as the OPPO E-Store, Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop,” he said during the launch event at the Jalan Hang Tuah Fire and Rescue Station, which was also held in conjunction with a breaking of fast event. 

During the event, OPPO Malaysia also announced its collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department’s Sports, Welfare and Cultural Council (MASKAB) as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Lim added that as part of a promotional offer, every purchase of the OPPO A5 Pro 5G or A5 Pro will include a special edition OPPO x UEFA Champions League crossbody bag for free, along with an OPPO Care Plus protection plan worth RM1,108.

“Customers can also top up RM100 to get the OPPO Enco Buds3 Pro wireless earbuds for a more immersive audio experience,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Hassan ‘As’ari Omar said  RM1 from each OPPO A5 Pro sale will be donated to MASKAB, with a fundraising target of RM100,000.

He said the initiative reflects OPPO Malaysia’s commitment to appreciating the contributions of firefighters, ensuring MASKAB can continue supporting the welfare and development of Malaysia’s fire and rescue personnel.

“We sincerely thank OPPO Malaysia for this campaign, which provides crucial support for the well-being of firefighters. This initiative not only recognises their dedication but also helps improve resources and support for our personnel,” he said.
