KOTA KINABALU, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- The National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (TEKUN Nasional) is offering a moratorium of up to six months for entrepreneurs facing difficulties in repaying financing due to the impact of floods.
TEKUN Nasional chairman Datuk Abdullah Sani said the initiative serves as a flood relief measure aimed at easing the burden of entrepreneurs whose business premises, inventory or homes were impacted.
“TEKUN entrepreneurs impacted by floods are also allowed to withdraw part of their savings from their financing accounts and may reschedule their repayments.
“For those who suffered damage to their business premises and stock, they may apply for overlapping financing to restart their affected businesses,” he said in a statement today.
Abdullah added that applications can be submitted at all TEKUN branch offices by providing two photos of the affected business premises or houses, along with verification from the nearest TEKUN officer regarding the flood disaster.
“Applications can be submitted within three months from the date of the flood. TEKUN Nasional remains committed to supporting micro-entrepreneurs by providing financing and entrepreneurial development,” he said.
