LHDN Opens Registration For National Tax Seminar Featuring Budget 2026 Insights

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 17 (Bernama) -- Registration is now open for the 2025 National Taxation Seminar (SPK 2025), which will focus on three main topics -- proposals for Budget 2026, e-Invoicing: Strategic Preparation Towards Mandatory Compliance, and the Digital Transformation of the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) and Stamp Duty Self-Assessment System.

In a statement today, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) said the seminar will be held in five sessions from Oct 14 to Nov 10, with physical sessions in Johor, Penang, Sarawak and Sabah, as well as one virtual session. The participation fee is set at RM350.

“The seminar will bring together experienced speakers and panellists in taxation, including senior officers from the Finance Ministry, LHDN, the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and the Malaysian Association of Tax Accountants,” the statement said.

According to LHDN, the seminar provides an opportunity for tax practitioners, accounting bodies, professionals and taxpayers to gain the latest updates on amendments to all Acts under the agency’s administration, in line with the tabling of Budget 2026 by the Prime Minister on Oct 10.

As an added value, Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) allows registered employers to claim training costs for SPK 2025 participants under the Training Assistance Scheme.

Employers only need to select the category Non-Registered Training Provider Details – Government’ when applying for the training grant.
