SEPANG, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar expressed confidence that the 2026 Budget will not disappoint Malaysians, particularly civil servants.
“The Budget must have good news. But it’s still a secret...we can’t reveal it yet. However, we are confident that it will bring positive outcomes,” he said briefly when asked about expectations for the 2026 Budget.
He said this when met by reporters after opening the Fourth National Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Research Conference, here today.
Shamsul Azri said the “good news” to be announced is a reflection of the MADANI Government’s commitment to remain a caring and people-centric administration.
The 2026 Budget, scheduled to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 10, will be the fourth edition of the MADANI Budget. It is designed to restore fiscal resilience, strengthen economic fundamentals, and improve the people’s living standards.
The Budget will continue to focus on the three main pillars of the MADANI Economy, namely raising the ceiling for national growth, improving the people’s standard of living, and driving reforms, particularly in the area of good governance.
