KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The incident of a transaction disruption for the purchase of RON95 petrol via the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative at a Petron petrol station in Pasir Gudang, Johor, was caused by a Wi-Fi connection failure in the area.
Petron Malaysia Refining and Marketing Bhd (Petron), in a statement, informed that the incident involving a customer was an isolated case, and their business continuity plan was activated to manage the situation.
“We have offered assistance to the affected customer, and for those who received our assistance, the transaction proceeded at the subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre for eligible individuals. This issue is isolated."
“All other stations are operating as usual, and we will continue to ensure smooth customer transactions,” Petron said via a statement on Facebook.
Petron also advised customers who experience any issues to contact Petron Care at 1300 228 211 or email petroncare@petron.com.my for assistance.
Earlier today, a video went viral on social media showing a customer experiencing a transaction disruption while dealing at the Petron petrol station in Pasir Gudang.
