07/10/2025 09:21 PM

SEREMBAN, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- The proactive initiative by the Negeri Sembilan Ministry of Domestic Trade (KPDN) to conduct a briefing on the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) today received a positive response, attracting some 120 representatives from various companies and individuals.

Its director, Muhammad Zahir Mazlan, said the initiative aims to encourage more companies in land public transport and goods transport companies to register and take advantage of the Budi MADANI RON95 petrol subsidy (BUDI95).

"Today, we engaged strategic partners, including representatives from petrol companies, target groups, taxi associations, individuals, and business entities, to provide accurate and comprehensive explanations about the implementation of SKPS to all parties.

"This is to prevent misinformation and confusion among the public, and we want to ensure that the government's targeted RON95 implementation agenda reaches the people with accurate information, not through rumours or social media," he told reporters after the SKPS briefing session at the KPDN Hall here today.

A food supply company manager, Kelvin, 30, said the targeted RON95 subsidy is beneficial for operators like himself, as it reduces operational costs through fuel savings.

"With the subsidised price of RM2.05 per litre compared to RM2.60 in the market, the difference is quite significant and directly impacts operating costs.

"If we don't register, we won't be eligible to enjoy the subsidised rate and would have to pay the normal price," said Kelvin.

Taxi driver R. Lechumanan, 72, attended the briefing to gain a better understanding of the implementation of SKPS, as there were still some aspects he did not fully comprehend.

"After listening to the briefing and explanations from KPDN officers, I finally understood how to obtain the subsidy through SKPS," he said.

Registration for SKPS can be completed via the link https://mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my. Those with inquiries can visit any Negeri Sembilan KPDN branch office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
