KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- The Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Alumni Education and Scholarship Fund launched today aims to sponsor five students each year, with a total allocation of RM400,000 by 2028.
UiTM Pro-Chancellor Datuk Prof Emeritus Dr Hassan Said said the fund, established by the UiTM Alumni Federation of Malaysia (PAUiTM), is a strategic effort to support the educational development of future generations.
“We hope more UiTM alumni will give back, not only financially, but also through their ideas, time and energy,” he said when launching the fund in conjunction with the PAUiTM’s 2025 annual general meeting here today.
He said the initiative is more than just financial aid, describing it as a gesture of appreciation to the university that has opened countless opportunities for its graduates.
“Through this effort, we hope to create a virtuous cycle where students who receive assistance today will one day help others, thus strengthening UiTM’s legacy,” he said.
Each scholarship recipient will receive full sponsorship throughout their studies, including tuition fees, living allowance, books and other learning necessities.
