JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) bagged four consolation prizes at the Johor Media Awards (AMJ) 2025 ceremony held last night.
Photographer Mohd Hilmizudin Daud received two consolation awards for Best Sports Photo and Best Human Interest Photo, while journalist Nur Faradilla Mohamad won consolation prizes in the Tourism and Best News Photo categories.
Each consolation award came with a cash prize of RM500 and a trophy.
The event was officiated by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, and organised by the Johor Media Club (KMJ).
It gathered more than 300 guests, including media practitioners, government representatives and the club’s strategic partners.
Returning after a six-year hiatus, AMJ 2025 featured 24 categories covering print, television, radio and photography, with total prize money amounting to RM74,000.
All entries were professionally judged by the Malaysian Press Institute (MPI), based on works published or broadcast between Jan 1, 2023, and Dec 31, 2024.
