JHEV Hopes 2025-2026 Warriors Fund Collection Can Meet RM3 Mln Target

17/10/2025 03:23 PM

MELAKA, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Veterans Affairs Department (JHEV) hopes that the 2025-2026 Warriors Fund Campaign (KTP), launched in August, will achieve its RM3 million target.

Its director-general, Major General Datuk Semaon Marjuki, said it was vital because the contribution would be channelled to 221,825 MAF veterans who are ill and in need of aid.

"The figure includes those who are pensioners, non-pensioners and also widows who receive derivative pensions. The collection will be used for the benefit of veterans who are in need,” he said.

He said this after the launch of the MAF JHEV Silver Jubilee in conjunction with the 2025 Melaka MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) at the Merlimau Polytechnic here today.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin was previously quoted as saying that the 2025-2026 KTP had raised RM1.095 million, thus far.

He had also said that he was confident that the RM3 million target this time could be achieved through the cooperation of various parties, including members of the public, government agencies, corporate firms and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
