Meanwhile, Minister of National Unity Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang hopes that the light of Deepavali will become a symbol of unity for all Malaysians, illuminating the path towards a prosperous, peaceful and generous nation.

“As the lamps are lit in every home, let us illuminate our hearts with the rays of humanity. Let the light of Deepavali penetrate the boundaries of religion, race and culture to illuminate the souls of all Malaysians so that they can continue to live in the spirit of understanding, respect, acceptance and celebration of diversity.

“We will not reach the light without going through the darkness. In every journey of life, there is sacrifice, there is perseverance, and there is love that unites. Deepavali reminds us that true light does not only come from lamps, but from sincere hearts, helping hands and souls that shine for each other. Happy Deepavali,” he said.
