KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar called on all public and private sector personnel involved in organising the 47th ASEAN Summit to work together to ensure the smooth and successful execution of the event.
In a Facebook post, Shamsul Azri said this is in line with the theme, ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’, which is symbolic of unity, well-being, prosperity, and the spirit of mutual respect among ASEAN member countries.
“With only three days to go before the prestigious 47th ASEAN Summit, Malaysia, as the host and Chair of ASEAN 2025, is fully prepared to welcome the arrival of world leaders and international delegations,” he said
He urged all officials from both the public and private sectors, as well as members of the security forces, medical teams and Malaysians in general, to demonstrate friendliness, professionalism, and high moral values throughout the event.
“The cultural richness and diversity that define Malaysia will undoubtedly capture the world’s attention. Greet our guests warmly, smile, and let the world see that Malaysia is truly exceptional,” he added.
The 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits are scheduled to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Oct 26 to 28.
More than 30 heads of state and government will gather to discuss regional peace, economic resilience and inclusive growth under the ASEAN-Malaysia Chairmanship 2025.
