MAKSAK Games Demonstrates Govt's Commitment To Produce Active, Healthy And Productive Civil Service

SHAH ALAM, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Government Services Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) Futsal Championship, or known as the MAKSAK Games 2025, demonstrates the government's commitment to producing civil service members who are active, healthy, and productive.

Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin said that in facing the current era of information and fast-paced work demands, the civil service requires an administration member who is physically active.

"This MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship is a manifestation of our commitment to producing civil service officers who are active, healthy, and productive, especially in today's fast-paced era.

"A physically active officer will be mentally active, and their mind will be clearer to make accurate decisions and act more effectively," he said.

Ahmad Fadzli who is also the President of Selangor MAKSAK, said this when speaking at the Official Opening Ceremony of the National Level MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship here today.

He stated that the work culture in the civil service must be based on enjoyment of work and a harmonious work environment, supported by recreational, welfare, and social activities.

Ahmad Fadzli said this aligns with the Guidelines of Cultivating Enjoyment of Work in the Public Sector issued by the Public Service Department (JPA).

"I see MAKSAK as a platform for us to interact, get acquainted, and build networks that cross departmental and state boundaries, including a platform for us to instill the spirit of health and well-being among civil servants.

"In this increasingly challenging world, physical and mental health are key assets. This is one of our main goals in supporting sports activities among civil servants and building a healthy, energetic, and competitive workforce," he said.

A total of 550 athletes and officials from 17 MAKSAK affiliated bodies are competing in the National Level MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship, which began today.

The four-day championship is being held at the Sportiza Batu 3 arena, the Youth and Sports Department Sports Complex (KOMBES), and the Kompleks Rakan Muda, Puchong.
