26/10/2025 07:16 PM

JASIN, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- The Eksplorasi Perpaduan Satelit MADANI Rakyat 2025 programme, organised by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN), wrapped up its nationwide tour in Melaka today.

JPNIN deputy director-general (Strategic Planning) Mohd Faris Jazlan Ramli said Melaka was the ninth and final location for the satellite unity programme, after Sabah, Johor, Perak, Terengganu, Kota Bharu (Kelantan), Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, and Gua Musang (Kelantan).

“The locations were carefully selected based on local needs and their potential to maximise impact in strengthening social networks and community unity nationwide.

“This programme reflects JPNIN’s efforts in expanding service outreach and delivering direct benefits to Malaysia’s multicultural society, in line with the Ministry of National Unity’s slogan, ‘Harmony in Diversity’,” he said in his officiating speech in Bemban, Jasin, here today.

Also present were Melaka JPNIN director Intan Suhana Yusuff and Bemban state constituency coordinator Mohd Raziff Yakop.

Mohd Faris Jazlan said the programme was a government initiative implemented by four main agencies, JPNIN, the Information Department (JAPEN), Department of Community Communications (J-KOM), and FELDA Regulatory Division (BKSF), to deliver government services directly to the people at the grassroots level.

He also highlighted the implementation of the National Public Community Complaints Network (RAKAN), a social complaints platform for the public to report unity-related issues.

RAKAN was launched on June 19 by National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang in conjunction with the national-level Safety and Unity Town Hall Programme, in an effort to instil social responsibility among Malaysians to maintain peace and harmony.

“Community involvement in programmes like this is crucial in promoting unity initiatives and addressing local safety concerns.

“As the department entrusted with national integration, JPNIN views programmes like this as a golden opportunity to strengthen inter-ethnic and interfaith relations in line with the principles of ‘understand’, ‘respect’ and ‘accept’ in upholding national unity,” he said.

In Melaka, the programme included gotong-royong activities held simultaneously in several areas around Bemban in the morning to foster community spirit and care for the environment.

The programme also featured the Melaka-level National Safety and Unity Town Hall session, as well as various rakyat-focused activities, such as community services, MADANI sales, health screenings, Jejak Harmoni, exhibitions and services from various government agencies.
