Syariah Conference A Platform To Empower Implementers – Mohd Na’im

SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The 2025 Syariah Assistant Officers and Syariah Aides Conference serves as a strategic platform to strengthen the direction of Syariah judicial administration in line with the national aspirations of the MADANI government, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.

He said the three-day conference, which began today, focused on four dimensions or objectives, including uniting the aspirations and spirit of Syariah judicial officers.

“It is to ensure that the direction of the Syariah Courts is guided by MADANI values and goes beyond policy alignment, encompassing the unification of mission and the spirit of upholding Islamic justice.

“The next dimension (objective) is to strengthen the empowerment of Syariah judicial and legal services, where the strength of the institution lies not only in the judges but also in the implementers — the Syariah assistant officers and Syariah aides,” he said.

He said this when officiating the 2025 Syariah Assistant Officers and Syariah Aides Conference here today, which was attended by about 200 participants under the theme ‘Strengthening Brotherhood, Fortifying Institutions’.

Mohd Na’im said the conference aimed to reinforce the role of the Malaysian Syariah Judiciary Department (JKSM) as the coordinating agency for Syariah judiciary at the national level to ensure uniformity in administration and understanding of Syariah law across states.

He added that it also served as a platform to develop career pathways and potential among the implementing group.

At the same event, Mohd Na’im also launched the official logo of the Ikatan Kumpulan Sokongan Syariah Malaysia (IKSYAM) association.
