KAJANG, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Residensi Sutera Vista, with 74 of the total 378 units offered under the Rumah Selangorku Scheme (RSKU), is set to complement MTD Properties' vision in the development of Taman Sutera, a township spread over 64.7497 hectares (160 acres) here.
MTD Group Chief Operating Officer Dr Nik Fauzan Nik Faizul said that the development of two 19-storey residential blocks on 1.69968 hectares (4.2 acres) represents affordable housing in the final phase of the modern, comfortable and liveable township development project.
He said Residensi Sutera Vista, which is expected to be completed in 2028, offers residential units ranging from 900 to 1,000 square feet, with prices starting from RM398,000.
“Work on site started two months ago with piling work currently underway, ahead of schedule,” he said after the project’s groundbreaking ceremony here today.
Nik Fauzan said the response received was encouraging, especially for units under RSKU when registrations exceeded the number of units offered, while registrations for regular units had also exceeded half of the units offered.
“However, we have not been able to confirm the percentage sold because there is still a loan review process and so on. With a price below RM500,000, it is considered an affordable price for a mature Kajang area.
Meanwhile, MTD Reime Group Chief Executive Officer Rizal Abdul Aziz said the company is committed to offering homes at reasonable prices without compromising on quality of construction, modern design and lifestyle, while leveraging the advantage of the project’s strategic location.
“Sutera Vista Residence is a community that we have built with heart and focused on the real needs of the people. We are proud to contribute to the state's aspirations to provide sustainable and affordable housing for the local community,” Rizal said.
Meanwhile, Selangor executive councillor for Housing and Culture, Datuk Borhan Aman Shah noted that Residensi Sutera Vista is among the significant contributors to the implementation of the RSKU 3.0 Policy, which targets the construction of 200,000 affordable housing units by 2029.
“I hope this project will provide housing and facilities to residents, especially in the surrounding areas.
“Under the RSKU 3.0 Policy, so far there are almost 80,000 units towards achieving the target in 2029. However, we will continue to monitor this progress, in addition to welcoming other developers to pursue affordable housing projects, whether in urban or rural areas,” he said.
MTD Properties, which recently received the “Best Affordable Homes Developer 2025” Award from the PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia, has developed over 10 residential and commercial projects in Taman Sutera to date.
Among the ongoing and completed developments by the company include those in Bangsar, Ayer Keroh, Seremban and Jenjarom, besides projects in the United Kingdom, Australia and the Philippines.
