Deputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni said the ministry consistently takes preventive measures to combat the sale of unauthorised medicines, including on e-commerce platforms.
“These measures include engagement sessions with platform operators regarding the need to remove advertisements for medicines, as well as prohibiting live streams promoting products for weight loss and beauty enhancements,” he said during the Dewan Rakyat’s oral question-and-answer session today.
He was responding to a supplementary question from Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein (BN-Sembrong) regarding MOH's enforcement actions against the online sales of such products.
