SERDANG, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar has called on young people to plan their finances, build their savings with Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and prioritise their health as part of preparations to perform the haj.
He said consistent saving is key to fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam at a younger age.
“I hope depositors remain mindful of their haj obligations and stay committed to maintaining good health so they are physically prepared when the time comes to fulfil the pilgrimage.
“Most importantly, start saving consistently with TH from today so that you can perform the haj while you are still strong and able,” he said when officiating the TAHA Run 2025, here today.
Themed Run for A Lifetime Journey, the event attracted more than 1,000 participants aged 18 to 25.
Organised by TH, the run featured three-kilometre and five-kilometre categories aimed at raising awareness on the importance of saving and financial planning, while encouraging a healthier lifestyle.
