MELAKA, Dec 10 (Bernama) -- Duyong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halem has praised the federal government’s Rahmah Sales programme, noting that his constituency alone received RM1 million in subsidy under the initiative.
He said the Rahmah Sales programme, implemented throughout this year in the Duyong state constituency, had successfully recorded RM3 million in total sales, including the RM1 million subsidy.
He added that if Duyong alone received RM1 million in subsidy, the total allocation for Melaka’s 28 state constituencies could reach RM28 million if each received a similar amount.
“That is only for the Rahmah Sales initiative, not including the FAMA Agro MADANI sales and other programmes implemented under the leadership of the Chief Minister,” he said at the Melaka State Assembly sitting today.
He said that with only about a year left before the State Assembly is dissolved, all elected representatives must make full use of the remaining term to deliver the best possible service and uphold the trust placed in them.
“We will close this (last) year with great determination. As for the future, we will leave it to Allah Taala.
“To be candidates again is not even certain, but what matters most is that our conscience is clear. Why? Because we have carried out the trust that was placed upon us,” he said.
