KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- House of Mind Excellence (HOME) Maths Therapy was named the winner of the Best Franchise Award at the Malaysia Franchise Awards (MFA) 2025 held here tonight, retaining the recognition for the second consecutive year.
The mathematics learning centre also received awards for Best Franchisor, Best Single-Unit Franchisee, Best Multi-Unit Franchisee, Best Franchise Innovation, Best Corporate Social Responsibility and Best Franchise Governance.
The prestigious awards ceremony was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development.
In his speech, Ahmad Zahid extended his congratulations to all award recipients for their success and contributions in strengthening the national franchise industry.
“Today, Malaysia proudly records more than 2,060 registered franchise businesses under the Registrar of Franchise (RoF), reflecting a strong upward trajectory driven by innovation, confidence and industry professionalism.
“Tonight’s celebration is not merely the closing of another successful year for the franchise sector. It is a reaffirmation of our shared belief that Malaysian brands are ready not only to lead locally but to compete, excel, and shine on the global stage,” he said.
Also present were Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, who is carrying out the duties of the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Seri R. Ramanan and Malaysian Franchise Association chairman Datuk Dr Radzali Hassan.
The event also saw the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Malaysian Franchise Association and its strategic partner, SME Bank, aimed at strengthening the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly franchisors and franchisees in Malaysia.
In a statement, Radzali said the collaboration strengthened the franchise ecosystem through the implementation of various joint programmes and initiatives, and would continue to support the development of the franchise industry through the sharing of expertise, financing facilities and global market promotion.
“This effort will benefit local franchisors and franchisees in expanding their businesses to a more competitive level globally,” he said.
