KUANTAN, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Pahang recorded RM18.04 billion in committed investments in 2025, surpassing the state government’s target of RM14 billion.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the achievement would further spur the state government to intensify efforts to attract future investments.

“We targeted RM14 billion but managed to achieve RM18 billion, and Insya-Allah, this performance will be further improved in 2026,” he told reporters after officiating the groundbreaking ceremony for an underground water exploration project by Bubbles O2 Sdn Bhd at Ladang Gambang Yayasan Pahang here today.

Commenting on the project, he described it as another strategic investment initiative aimed at exploring underground water resources in the state.

“I would like to express my appreciation to Bubbles O2 Sdn Bhd for choosing Pahang as its investment destination. Insya-Allah, this well is expected to produce about 14 million bottles of water annually,” he said.

Wan Rosdy said the project is expected to benefit both parties by boosting the state’s economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and fostering long-term strategic cooperation between the state government and investors.

He said the initial production of Bubbles O2 mineral water in the state is expected to begin as early as six months after the project is completed.

“This project is expected to create more than 100 job opportunities, with priority given to Pahang natives, particularly residents in the surrounding areas,” he said.

Wan Rosdy added that the state government is not ruling out expanding the project to western Pahang in response to strong demand for Bubbles O2 water products.
