IPOH, Jan 18 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, graced the Proclamation of the 2026 President of the Gunung Keledang Bakti Club (KBGK) here tonight.
His Royal Highness was accompanied by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
At the ceremony, an architect with Arkitek DCA, Ismail Mohamed Yusuff, was proclaimed the 39th president of the club, replacing Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan.
Ismail, who has been a member of the club since 2016, is among the individuals involved in several building projects in the state, including the Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Complex in 2016, the Toh Puan Besar Hatijah Mosque in 2014, and the internationally recognised Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre in 2018.
Meanwhile, Ismail described the main mission of his leadership for 2026 as strengthening racial integration through strategic cooperation involving non-governmental organisations (NGOs) of various backgrounds in Perak.
He said among the initiatives undertaken by the club was collaboration with several strategic partners such as the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, the Perak Nesakaranggal Association and the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM).
