Raya Bergaya At Intermark Mall: A Celebration Of Tradition, Culture And Style

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) -- This Raya season, Intermark Mall invites shoppers and visitors to experience Raya Bergaya, a vibrant celebration of tradition, culture, and contemporary style from March 2 to April 5.

Set against the backdrop of the mall’s main atrium, the campaign celebrates the elegance of Hari Raya while bringing people together in the spirit of community and inclusivity.

“This year’s festive decor blends cultural elements from Malay and Peranakan influences, featuring eye-catching motifs such as wau and kuda kepang, which also appear in the design of the mall’s limited-edition Raya packets,” according to Intermark Mall’s statement today.

It said the inclusion of kuda kepang pays homage to Johor’s rich cultural heritage, while also serving as a respectful tribute to Malaysia’s current King, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, who hails from the state, and offering a timely nod to the Year of the Horse in the lunar calendar.

Intermark Mall general manager (Marketing) Evelyn Woon was quoted as saying that this campaign is not only about festive shopping and beautiful decor, but also about reaffirming Intermark Mall’s role in fostering a community where everyone feels seen, valued and included.

“As a city-centre destination that welcomes both local communities and international visitors, we also hope to play a small but meaningful role in showcasing the beauty of Malaysian culture and hospitality, especially as we look ahead to Visit Malaysia 2026,” she said.

According to the statement, the Raya Bergaya campaign features a curated festive marketplace offering a wide selection of Raya essentials, lifestyle products and seasonal finds.

Supporting local creativity and entrepreneurship, the campaign also shines a spotlight on brands and designers such as Carven Ong, Variante, and event partner Haute & Gold, reflecting Intermark Mall’s continued support for local talent, modest fashion and small businesses.

Shoppers can also look forward to a line-up of engaging experiences throughout the campaign period. For the first time, campaign partner Amanah Raya Berhad will host a pop-up for its Bina Legasi initiative, aimed at driving greater awareness and accessibility of its legacy planning products for Malaysians of all backgrounds.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy traditional Inang and Zapin performances, and take part in face painting sessions by neurodiverse artists on selected Fridays and Saturdays, adding a thoughtful and inclusive dimension to the celebration.

Shoppers can look forward to special rewards by taking part in exclusive promotions at Intermark Mall during this festive season. 

Those who spent RM150 in a single receipt can redeem a beautifully designed Raya packet, a limited edition collector's item, while those spending RM50 or more are eligible to enter the Raya Top Spender contest, where lucky winners can win luxurious hotel stays at selected DoubleTree by Hilton properties across Malaysia worth RM10,000.
