KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- Services on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line fully resumed at 5.52 pm today following a power supply disruption between the Awan Besar and Sri Petaling stations.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) said train frequency is being gradually normalised following the incident, which began at 11.38 am and involved a train, numbered 29, that lost power at the Bukit Jalil station.
The company said operations personnel immediately carried out repair works and activated alternative train services as well as free shuttle bus services to ensure passengers could continue their journeys.
“Station staff and auxiliary police personnel were also deployed to the affected areas to manage passenger flow and ensure the situation remained under control throughout the disruption,” it said in a statement.
Rapid Rail said its operations team will continue to monitor the situation to ensure smooth services, with auxiliary police and station staff still stationed at platforms and concourse areas of affected stations.
Passengers are advised to refer to Rapid KL’s social media platforms or the MyRapid PULSE app for the latest updates.
Rapid Rail also apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation for passengers’ patience and cooperation.
