KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- E-book writing is rapidly becoming a fast-track entry point into the digital publishing world, allowing aspiring authors to complete their first draft in as little as 24 hours when following a structured approach.
The Kuala Lumpur Intellectual Authors Club (iAuthorsClub) president, S Nahanthiran, highlighted that many first-time writers face challenges such as procrastination, mental blocks, uncertainty in content development, and concerns over research, structure and market positioning.
“To truly understand what an e-book is, one must write the first e-book,” he said in a statement to Bernama, adding that experiential learning is key to helping individuals overcome these challenges and build confidence.
He said IAC regularly organises writing workshops with a structured, step-by-step framework to guide participants from developing ideas to completing their first e-book draft within a short timeframe.
The one-day programme integrates theory and hands-on exercises, with strong emphasis on mastering writing techniques and structure, enabling participants to see tangible results.
Participants are guided to understand the fundamental differences between e-books and physical books, which differ in characteristics and applications.
“IAC welcomes individuals who aspire to write but are uncertain about how to begin and encourages them to join the club for ongoing opportunities to learn and grow in the writing arena,” said the accomplished author and certified e-book trainer and coach who holds a Professional Certificate in E-Book Entrepreneurship from Spectrum International University College, Malaysia.
Nahanthiran, who has authored 15 e-books across various genres and manages a digital bookstore, said the club’s intensive coaching model guides participants through the entire process, helping them plan and complete their first draft efficiently.
Beyond the one-day session, he said the club plans to organise a two-day writing retreat in Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang, offering a tranquil and conducive environment for participants to disconnect from daily distractions, reconnect with their ideas and make meaningful progress in their writing journey.
The initiative not only accelerates the writing process but also encourages participants to pursue further writing projects, including physical publications.
