KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- Their Majesties Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah, King and Queen of Malaysia, have extended aid to the widow of a road accident victim who died in a crash in Klang last month.
The donation was presented by Comptroller of Istana Negara Royal Household Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani to Nor Nadia Abdul Majid, 32, at her home in Selangor.
Present were Istana Negara religious officer Datuk Munir Md Salleh, legal adviser Datuk Zulharry Abdul Rashid, the Queen’s private secretary Dr Nadia Monira Mohamed Taib and Shah Alam police chief ACP Ramsay Anak Embol.
According to a post on the King’s official Facebook page, a brief tahlil prayer was also held during the visit at the family’s house in Section 16, Shah Alam.
On March 29, the victim, Amirul Hafiz Omar, 33, was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a car driven by an individual under the influence of alcohol and drugs in an incident at Jalan Raya Barat in Klang.
The crash, which occurred at about 11.40 am, caused the victim to be thrown onto the roof of another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving behind his wife and three children aged between two and nine.
