KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 4.06 am today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a statement that the quake, at a depth of 18 kilometres, occurred 67 km west of Nias, Indonesia.
However, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
