KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- The Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NatSec) Asia 2026 exhibition opens tomorrow and runs through Thursday, bringing together approximately 1,400 international companies from over 60 countries.
The 19th edition of this biennial event will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), showcasing cutting-edge electronic warfare technology and assets across the land, air, and sea defence sectors. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officially launch the exhibition tomorrow.
The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, is also scheduled to attend and will deliver a keynote address at the Putrajaya Forum, themed "ASEAN Security in the Age of Emerging Technologies."
DSA and NatSec Asia integrate conventional defence, electronic warfare technology and assets, and internal security to strengthen international ties through meetings, forums and strategic dialogue sessions.
DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd executive director Nadzeem Abdul Rahman said that, with nearly four decades of experience managing the event, the organisers remain optimistic and confident in navigating today's dynamic and uncertain global landscape.
"We have navigated various global challenges before, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet DSA and NatSec were still successfully held, drawing strong visitor attendance and encouraging industry participation," he told Bernama recently.
Participating companies include those from Turkey, China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United States (US), Italy, France, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Singapore.
Major defence firms that have confirmed their presence include DEFTECH, ASELSAN, Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc, MILKOR, FNSS Savunma Sistemleri, Team Defence Australia, Airbus Group, BrahMos, Beretta Defense Technologies (BDT), Weststar Defence Industries and Matra BAE Dynamics Alenia (MBDA).
Other notable participants are Mindmatics, Hyundai WIA Corp, Kongsberg, ATLA Japan MOD, LIG Nex1, Glenair Inc, Fincantieri, Nurol Makina, HAVELSAN, CANiK Arms, FN Herstal and Naval Group.
As a premier platform for exchanging information on high-tech defence equipment from around the world, DSA and NatSec Asia 2026 is expected to welcome over 50,000 visitors from more than 114 countries.
The exhibition is open exclusively to government defence and security personnel, defence and security industry professionals and executives, military members, police and related forces, and specially invited guests.
