SEGAMAT, April 19 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Government has successfully resolved various long-standing issues, including development projects in several states, as well as the welfare of civil servants, which had remained unresolved for years.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said key achievements include a salary increase for civil servants, for the first time since 2013, as well as salary adjustments for judges, after a prolonged period.
Fahmi, who is also the MADANI Government spokesperson, said the government has reinstated allocations to religious education institutions, such as tahfiz centres and religious schools, in addition to resolving several issues involving certain states.
“As an example, in Terengganu, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has fulfilled a 17-year-long pending promise to begin the groundbreaking process for the construction of the state’s first metropolitan college.
“Similarly, in Johor, the Forest City project, which had previously stalled, is now being revived,” he said.
He said this to reporters after the Jiwa MADANI: Presentation of Appointment Letters to Johor Komuniti MADANI heads ceremony, at the Kampung Abdullah Multipurpose Hall, here, today.
In addition, he said that the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) initiative was also established under the MADANI Government.
“Previously, no government resolved issues involving Forest City and Maharani Freeport, and no government completed the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link. All this has only taken place under the MADANI Government’s administration,” he said.
According to him, these achievements are not meant to boast, but rather to demonstrate that close cooperation between the federal and state governments is capable of resolving public issues comprehensively and benefiting various parties.
“This shows that, when state and federal governments work closely together, many public issues can be resolved thoroughly and holistically, bringing benefits to all,” he said.
