KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Bernama) -- Fresh fruit tea chain, Auntea Jenny, has received recognition from the ASIA Records after its signature drink Mango Pomelo Sago recorded sales of nearly 90 million cups last year across four countries.
Auntea Jenny Malaysia General Manager Ng Ching Wai described the recognition as a proud milestone for the company, saying it reflected growing consumer acceptance of the beverage internationally.
“Our Mango Pomelo Sago succeeds because it combines real fruit quality with a taste that feels familiar across Asia. It’s more than a drink, it connects with shared dessert culture and everyday enjoyment,” he told Bernama after the plaque presentation ceremony and launch of the brand’s halal certification here today.
Also present at the ceremony were Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Halal Management Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) Iszam Padil, Director of ASIA Records Gillian Ooi as well as ‘One-Day Store Manager’ Muar Member of Parliament Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and singer and actress Bella Astillah.
Ng said the company submitted its sales data to ASIA Records, which later conducted a verification process before confirming the achievement.
He said the sales figures translated to about 300,000 cups of Mango Pomelo Sago sold daily in 2025, with sales contributed by outlets in China, United States of America, South Korea and Malaysia.
Commenting further, Ng shared that the company is also expanding aggressively this year with plans to enter six more countries, including Thailand, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, the United Kingdom.
On the halal certification, Ng described it as an important milestone in strengthening consumer trust and inclusivity, especially as Malaysia serves as a gateway to the ASEAN market.
“Halal certification is not only about reaching Muslim consumers, but also about maintaining the highest standards in cleanliness, logistics, production and safety,” he added.
Ng said the certification process took almost six months and currently covers 12 outlets in Malaysia, including branches in the Klang Valley, Johor, Penang, Pahang, Perak and Melaka.
He added that the company currently operates about 50 outlets nationwide and is targeting 100 outlets in Malaysia by the end of this year.
Apart from expansion plans, Ng said the brand will introduce a new kale-based beverage line on May 20 as part of efforts to promote healthier drink options with less sugar and more natural ingredients.
“Our true mission remains unchanged, True Fruits, True Tea, True Quality. We believe that every cup we serve carries responsibility, responsibility for freshness, authenticity and customer experience,” he said.
