KUANTAN, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, extended Teachers’ Day greetings to educators in Pahang and across the country.
Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah also expressed their appreciation for the contributions, sacrifices and dedication of teachers who tirelessly educate and shape knowledgeable, well-mannered and competitive generations for the future of religion, nation and country.
Their Royal Highnesses further emphasised that teachers are the backbone of human capital development and play a vital role in producing a knowledgeable, principled and highly patriotic society.
“Their Royal Highnesses also pray that all educators are continuously blessed with good health, strength and divine blessings in carrying out the responsibility of educating the nation’s future generations,” according to a post on the Pahang Sultanate’s Facebook page.
Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on May 16, with this year’s theme being ‘Guru Bitara, Nadi Negara’.
