25/05/2026 01:39 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Bernama) -- Two shopping malls managed by Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd are bringing back festive family fun to the mid-term school holidays with the return of the VIKids Carnival.

Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya is hosting the main carnival from May 20 to June 7, while Mesra Mall in Kemanan is staging its own edition from May 22 to May 26.

The 19-day campaign at Alamanda is designed to offer an energetic and interactive experience for VIKids members and their families through a range of engaging activities.

According to a statement issued today, the mall’s Centre Court will be transformed into a vibrant retro-futuristic carnival inspired by 1980s neon aesthetics.

“Visitors will step onto a classic black-and-white chequered floor surrounded by nostalgic neon decorations featuring cassette tapes, boomboxes and palm trees.

“The carnival features four themed stations offering traditional funfair games, arcade zones, and creative arts and crafts workshops open to the public,” the statement read.

Weekend activities include three daily performances, namely Neon Dance shows, magic performances and balloon clown acts.

Under the Shopper Rewards Programme, VIKids members who spend RM300 and above in a maximum of two receipts at participating outlets can redeem two complimentary Carnival Passes. Non-members can enjoy the same benefit with a minimum spend of RM500.

At Mesra Mall, the VIKids Carnival is featuring a stationery-themed concept with interactive photo zones and large themed selfie frames.

Daily DIY workshops run from 2 pm to 6 pm for children under 12, allowing them to create items such as school timetables, stationery holders, pencil toppers and bookmarks.

VIKids members who spend RM50 or more in a single receipt will receive two workshop tickets. New members who spend at least RM100 will receive two tickets plus a stationery gift bag, limited to the first 300 sign-ups.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd executive director and chief executive officer Francis Tan said the carnival aims to deliver meaningful, educational and enjoyable experiences during the school holidays.

“Whether through Alamanda’s neon-themed carnival or Mesra Mall’s hands-on workshops, our focus is on creating family-oriented experiences and lasting holiday memories,” he said.
