IPOH, June 3 (Bernama) -- Firefighters rescued a Persian cat after its tail was snagged in the spring of a massage chair in an incident at Taman Kinding Flora, Tanjung Rambutan here, yesterday.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the department received an emergency call at 2.52 pm and a team from the Tambun Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.
He said the team arrived at 3.04 pm and found the cat’s tail stuck in the chair’s spring.
“Initial investigations found that the cat fell into a narrow space within the massage chair, causing its tail to become trapped.
“The screws holding the spring were loosened and the cat was freed,” he said in a statement today.
Sabarodzi said the team took 16 minutes to free the cat and the operation ended at 3.20 pm.
